About Ahead
Here's how it works:
Our model is simple; we provide interactive day camps and workshops to girls that teach empowerment and entrepreneurship through hair.
Our camps and workshops are hands-on, fun, and one-of-a-kind! Each session teaches girls a new hair-specific lesson, such as braiding, texture, the science of coils, blowouts, weaves, etc., coupled with a lesson on business practices such as branding, inventory, accounting, marketing, finance, etc.
We bring in Black and Brown women facilitators with business backgrounds during each session to guide conversations but most importantly, to make sure our girls see themselves represented as future business women.
AHEAD lessons are deeply rooted in social-emotional learning while also giving girls the freedom to explore business concepts.
