Activities for Chicago youth can be pricey and often inaccessible for some families. We want to ensure that any child who wants to attend our program can.
How the Sliding Scale Process Works!
Any family may apply for a program scholarship. The application is a simple form that helps us determine your sliding-scale program rate. The application asks a few quick questions about your child, their interests, your household income, and why you're interested in Ahead's program.
Applications are reviewed in 24-48 hours.
Upon review, an Ahead representative will complete a brief call with the parent or guardian to discuss the application, pricing, and get your child signed up.

How can Ahead offer scholarships?
Ahead's 501(c)(3) non-profit partner, Just Gettin' Started, helps us ensure that students who can't afford our programs still have an opportunity to attend.
To date, no child has been turned away due to a family’s financial situation.
If your child would benefit from an Ahead program – but you are concerned that the program cost might be too steep– we strongly recommend that you apply for a scholarship.
